Darren Almond

Darren Almond was born in Wigan, England (1971). His work has been exhibited internationally in major exhibitions including in London at the Royal Academy shows Apocalypse (2000) and Sensation (1997-1999) in which he was the youngest artist to participate. Recent solo shows include Kunsthalle, Zurich (2001), Matthew Marks, New York (2001, 2000), The Chisenhale Gallery, London (2000), The Approach, London (2000), Max Hetzler, Berlin (1999), The Renaissance Society, Chicago (1999), White Cube, London (1997) and the ICA, London (1997). Almond's work has been aquired by major public and private collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and The Kramlich Collection, San Francisco.

Darren Almond currently lives and works in London.
